 No it's not... it's a short pulse. 

 It's easy to see in theory... draw a sinewave, then imagine the
diode charging the capacitor which then leaks until the next peak
arrives. The conduction starts *before* the peak, and continues until
*after* the peak, allowing for a small drop in the source resistance.

 The "PF" specs came in while I was working for Astec (Hong Kong),
and we were asked to have a look at it. So I did, and it was silly.
But we did it anyway...
