That's pretty much been my philosophy with computers and software in general. I
haven't done much with networking though.

It depends. I've had people that you walk through it, some I've had to find
documentation for.

I mainly challenge myself. I'll get it to work.  I might end up frying
something or a fatal system crash down the line, but I will figure out
something to make it work at least once.

Needless to say, the wife has banned me from such tests on the home pc.
