John Lennon, used to laugh and just shake his head, when people used to think
that they invented the world, or music, or rock, or whatever. He said, many
times, that they were in the right place at the right time, and they had
the goods to make it happen until they could do it their way.
But he never thought they were progressive about anything, and the proof is
in their music after they all split.... blaaaahhhh, by comparison.

I'm inclined to believe that the NY scene was a very important part of the
development of music. And the Beatles became very well aware of them, very
early.
... rivette___let that hand paint it all...
