  Farnell's prices are quite rude, about double of Jaycar,  even jaycar's bulk 
retail prices are about double what it should be worth.  Gets closer to the 
mark if you have access to their wholesale arm Electus, but they have a $100 
minimum.

  David, if you're going to go to that trouble, you may as well go for their 
ready-made DC/DC converters, saves the trouble of sourcing the bits and making 
it yourself.
