Your original assertion, to which I replied, was that a better driver could
affect the negotiated protocol CONNECT SPEED.  This is impossible, which I
(and several others) pointed out.

After seeing this post, my apology.  I suspected all along that you knew the
difference, but you surely didn't say so! :^)
