As you say, it is a defacto standard and thereby not compulsory.
I counted the letters and it is 79 characters.

Regardless of the above, I have altered the  origin line on Christians
system, to the one used in this message.

Christian had a stuffup with his mail tosser (again) and caused a loop in
two echos.  Teddy went crook as well as you, so hopefully he has learned a
lesson. It all should be sorted out by now, but if there is still a
problem, let me know and I can use a length of 4x2 on him.
