A better question might be what are you doing wrong??   :}
I also run a DOS mailer & bbs, but have never had EA corruption..
If your running a DOS defrag util this could do it, or any DOS util that 
plays with the fat table..
We might have to take this to OS2DOSBBS echo or maybe OS2DOS..
