     I am trying to find information on the whereabouts of
William H. Ewing.
He was born in 1828 in Indiana.  During the 1850's he resided in
Carroll Co. and in 1859 he married Rebecca J. Gordon.  They
resided in Carroll Co in 1860 and were recorded in the census
there.  In Nov. 1860 they had a daughter, Lillie Maude Ewing. 
After this there is no known reference to him.
Rebecca died in Feb. 1863 and Lillie was sent to live with her
maternal grandparents, John and Sarah Gordon.
At the family plot in Metea, IN; William is listed on the stone
but without any dates.  According to sexton records he is not
buried there.
Please any help in finding him would be greatly appreciated.  It
is possible that he died in the War Between the States, there
again we can find no record of either his enlistment or death.
