Nah,  there have been a lot of improvements in the technology in cars. 
OTOH,  the styling of some of the older ones was much better than it is
these days.  I can remember back seats that actually had *room* in them! 
Not talking about the external styling,  I could care less about that for
the most part,  but the interior design leaves a lot to be desired.
