You continue to play your word games trying to claim when you desire =
that linux is this minimal kernel that truth be told would then be =
useless and at other times claim that linux is inclusive of all the = stuff
the redhat and others ship so that you can claim that it is in = some way
functional. Go ahead. You look like an hypocrite.
Then again, maybe you desire to be consistent. If so, make sure you =
don't attribute to linux anything that you will later want to claim is =
distinct so that "linux" doesn't get tarnished. This will be a
change = for you.
I'm still waiting to read your reply on the other claims you were =
making regarding responsiblity of supporting one's products. I think = you
were trying to claim that vendors like redhat and sun do not have =
responsibility to fix security problems in code they release when the =
copyright is owned by someone else. Are you reversing yourself now that =
you are taking the tact that linux is some narrow thing that is just a =
tiny part of products that bear its name such as redhat linux 9?

Your example. The orginal comment by Jeff was:
"There are some who would probably kill me for this.. but I'd really =
be
interested in seeing what would happen if eeye turned some of that =
talent
loose on Linux.
Either we'd get a heck of a lot of fixes...or the Linux-heads would =
have
some strong evidence to back up the claim that Linux is more secure =
than
Windows. "
You then diverted onto Red Hat.
The people who released them were the authors of GAIM & mutt.
