     The Hard drives should be still good and all, they're not that old and 
they happen on some partitions, and not on others... I have two hard 
ives...
     Rusty cables?? The cables used for hard drives and all are plastic 
coated. Things cannot rust without contact with water or some other liquid, 
of which there's none in my computer. *smile*
