2.7 is old for your original Matrox Millennium.  Try 3.0

BTW, the original Millennium is the only Matrox with a switch to prevent/allow
BIOS overwrite.  You'll probably need a magnifing glass to see the switch.
You can find exactly which of the 2 switches in milleng.pdf 566,672.
