   They are part of redhat linux 9 which is why redhat took the =
responsiblity you are trying to claim they do not have.  If Sony were =
reselling redhat linux which included these vulnerable components then I =
would expect redhat to take responsibility unless Sony and redhat have =
agreed that Sony would be responsible.

   Does your employer, Sun, have a policy that they are not responsible =
for third-party software and hardware that they ship as part of their =
products?  That should scare a great number of people off of using Sun =
products.

   Let's make this easier for you so that you don't have to feel you are =
being asked to speak for sun.  Do you think that companies in general, =
not just your employer, should have the policy of disclaiming =
responsiblity that you are advocating?
