Yes. "Take off" as in work or be popular? Well, for the latter
I don't really give a shit as I'm writing it for my own self-gratification;
for the former, I've managed to subclass a folder and change some of its
behaviour, and now that I can scan successfully through a message area, all
that remains is putting the two together and I'll have the start of the
reader portion.
