PE> Where can I get the drive for $400? RS> Forte. PE> And a number? Not sure, I notice they now have 5 branches. I got that from someone at daytime peak STD rates, my call waiting went off with another incoming, so I didnt hang around yacking to him, just finished that call and picked up the one on the call waiting. Likely 02 267 9494. Their ad doesnt make it clear which of the 5 is the head office. PE> Why didn't you go EDO? I sure would for 10% faster ram for 5% surcharge. Usual problem with things changing so fast that its fucking hard to keep up. I deliberately chose to minimise my ram purchasing since there is still no sign that the drop has stopped yet. I got the ram at a good price for the plain ram and then noticed that operation with the small EDO surcharge later. From an SMH ad from memory, somewhere like that anyway. Corse I also discovered that the stupid fucking prick I had ordered the bulk of the stuff from had managed to literally forget the order when it hadnt showed up here. My own fault really, he insists on faxed orders coz his system really has no provision for orders by phone and I monstered him to do a voice one, coz my fax isnt avail coz it was on an older drive that fell over and there wasnt room to reinstall the software on the current system which is chocker. Then I managed to not be sufficiently alert to think to monster him on his EDO price when I had to order it again from him. Things tended to come a bit copiously unstuck yesterday |-) The ram prices really are quite fucking amazing with the whole of 95 hovering around $700ish for a 16MB 72 pin SIMM and now $165 class prices with that alone bombing nearly $50 in a couple of weeks. @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
