whether i have the ability, i don't know. i do know that i have neither
the time nor the inclination at present. based on my observations, there is
probably not a problem if you make the partitions with another fdisk, and
then just use the linux one to change their type. linux, or at least the
version that i have complains in several places about disks having more
than 1024 cylinders, but seems to work anyway.
