Hello all i added a new pet to my house he is a Blue Crown Conure we now
have him a pair of Blue Crowns,Pair of Quakers,Pair of Love birds,2
pairs of cockatiels + one as a pet 8 weeks old and a pet Rainbow
Lory.Are family is growing all the time and making it a sweet place to
visit.. I love all my birds but the Blue Crown i just bought and began to
get brave at working with him.. well i thought i would take of the
gloves.. witch i knew with this beak he could put a hurting on me..
witch he did many time drawing blood from me.. i let this go on for 2
hours letting him bite me and me taking my finger and tapping him on the
beak and saying NO!!! real firmly.. well after that time peiod Chico has
learned not to bite ME. but still trys to bite my wife.He loves to sit
on my shoulder and give me a kiss.. witch i made the mistake of tring to
get him to give me a kiss wile my mom and he dogs were here.. i guess it
scared him and he bit though my lip >Chico has
been here for about 5 days now.. and is a lot tamer to me.. always
wanting to sit on my shoulder like now.. or play games and sing with
him.. he is a very good talker....and is teaching a few of the other
birds how to talk ...
But what i want to know is how do i get him to stop biting at
everybody...especially my wife.. my wife wants to hold and love this
bird as well but he does not let her near him..???? thanks in advance!
