I have two completely dead 80 Meg quantums, both with terminators. If they
physically fit, they'll almost certainly work on yours. The terminators
plug into slots just above the 50-way connector at the back of the drive.
There are three of them, and each is about 19mm long. The sockets are
marked RN201, RN202, RN203.

If this looks like the connections in your drive, you're more than welcome
to them, but check to make sure they'll physically fit, first. My dead
quantums are both over 7 years old, and lotsa changes have occurred in HD
technology since then....

If you're really keen about this, the quantum distributors in Australia may
still have parts. They USED to be "Allaw Sales" in Sydney, this
MIGHT still be the case, but the best way of finding out is to ring your
local computer shop and ask them for the address of the current
distributors of quantum drives.

BTW, if you do find out, please share the info with us here.

  Mea Culpa,
 Peter Deane
