installed OS/2 in about six years, so eCS needs to have a more valid reason
to upgrade than "it installs easier"

Hm, The comparsion was for eCS 1.0 to eCS 1.1. When we will compare
WARP 4.0 to eCS 1.1 we get a much longer list:

0. boot for install directly from CD, no diskettes needed
1. easy installer (again) This is a key as you needs a new install
because even when you gets FP16 (not public available!) you are
technically 5 years behind eCS 1.1. see the following (but still
incomplete) list.
2. boot for maintenance from CD. Saves you a maintenance partiton on HD
3. full flagged USB support on board
4. APM is working now
5. more and more current drivers on board (some of them not publically
available at all
6. supports really BIG disks
7. supports boot from the whole disk, not only the very first 1024 zylider
8. is compatible with M$ crap as the 0F partition doesn disturb
anything anymore
9. has danis506.add as default disk driver
10. has SDD as default graphic driver (install ends up with 800x600
instead VGA - can be extendened to any resolution after install
     install is complete
11. registered SIO.SYS is default, IBM com.sys can be selected
     before the copy phase starts
12. extended preboot menue - makes it mostenly superflous to build
installation diskettes, even as this optionS are available
13. supports any known currently available mainboard and device
without manually modifying installation diskettes prior
     install.
14. At any point during all install phases:
commandline window available to hack around
15. maintenance console optionally available prior each boot
for next installation phase. Gives the chance to modify
anything currently on install drive without extra boot
maekes installation easy even with exotic hardware
16. installation is done in about 15 minutes on a P100!
17. dynamic integration of drivers during base install
     without building installation diskettes

Now from install to run:
1. new designed GUI
2. new BootManager. Possibility to install on any place on disk, not
only inside the old 1024 zylinder limit
3. LVM instead of old FDISK
reordering of multiple disks is much easier because
drive letters are not bound to 1. primary 1 disk, first primary
    2. disk,..... driver letters are free associable! So your system
may use the drives f,h,kg - in that order, independant of
the physical order of the disks and the partitons on them
Volumes instead of partitons. Wheras a volume is one or
multe ple partitons on one or multiple logical or physical drives
4. JFS (Journalling File System) allows volume sizes of up to
2 TB (tera bytes). chkdsk on them is much quicker (seconds
or in worst case minutes instead of hours or days in case of
crash or power failture even on real big volumes
5. full flagged 32 bit tcp/ip (V4.32).
6. internet dialup with modem/ISDN/cable/DSL on CD #2 optionally
    installable
7. NFS included
8. eCSMT makes maintenance (install/replace of new drivers, fixes
    and fixpacks) really easy
9. download of newer drivers, fixes and fixpacks free
eCS comes with MCP fixpack 3 integrated
10. many tools and utilities now integrated into the base system
11. Much more tools and utilities on CD #2 for optional install
12. optionally extendable for use of up to 64 processors
     on the mainboard (separate costs!)
13. migration tool that makes migration of the desktop of
WARP4, eCS 1.0, MCP to eCS 1.1 easy to use. Even as
this tool is without warranty and not maintenanced it
was heavely tested and many usenet users says that
     it does what it promises.
As sayed this list is still incomplete.
