There are things worse than death. If you do not understand that, then _most_ of
the Bible will remain mysterious to you. Perhaps if they had lived, they would
have been exposed only to things worse than death. If you have studied the filth
that passed for 'religion' in Canaan in those days, you could easily believe
that they really _would_ have been exposed only to what is worse than death.
What is more, if you read on to the later centuries, you will see that the
Hebrew people too, when _they_ were the ones to transgress, were punished with
similar harshness, even exile and death, for transgressing the Law and forsaking
the Lord.

WRONG. It is that _murder_ is bad. You got this right just a little while ago,
how did you get it wrong now? How can you hope to understand the answers to your
other questions until you get these more elementary questions answered
consistenly correctly?
