You may live with eCS 1.0, right. But on other hand 1.1 will give you
a more extended desktop, a clean install, more functionality (some of
the applications on eCS CD #2 will only work if they find eCS 1.1
instead of 1.0 because they are checking the 1.1 key.

Robosave will NOT work because the desktop is significally changed, so
most of the system objects on the desktop are either gone (replaced
with others) or on other places.

Further maintenance will fail too because eCSMT does different actions
on eCS 1.0 and eCS 1.1. eCSMT is a key application to make maintenance
simple.

By that: DON'T install eCSMT from eCS CD#2! Download the current
version from the download section of ecomstation.com. The version on
CD is unable to update itself! So installing it is superflous! Install
from server:
1. install warpin 1.0.1 from CD#2 (this is the prerequisite for
ecsmt!) into any place you like to have it running.
2. install it again into the same place to overcome a bug in the
installer (double install is all to do here)
3. download the newest version of ecsmt from ecomstation.com into
an empty folder of your choice (or the download folder of
    a prior version)
4. fire up ecsmt.exe (it uses warpin to install itself)
5. start it from the desktop object the installer generates
6. change the pathes (download and fixpack to the ones of your choice)
that means at least: change the download path to a location
that is NOT the system drive as this will save you
to download anything again whenever you installs the system again
7. open the download window (german: status des Herunterladens)
and insert your userid and password for http://www.ecomstation.com
8. when it accepts it then press the button that says
    request the FTP account.
This will determine your FTP userid and password from the server
magically. As eCSMT saves both you can close this window now.
It will be reopen every time you requests a download.
9. Now you can start to download all fixes and drivers you likes.
All of them will be stored in the download directory for further
    use.
10. let it fix or replace/install drivers of your choice.
It is possible to fix or replace/install multiple drivers/fixes
until it requires a reboot. Whenever it requires a reboot
the reboot should be done immediately because there are some
actions left that can only be done during the next boot.
