Well, if that's the effect it had on you, more (white) power to you.
The effect it had on me was quite different.  I thought about the
Passion plays of the middle ages which were most definitely
anti-semitic in nature.  I thought about how the few verses in the
bible which describe the torment he suffered had nothing like the
detail of this movie.  I thought about how Mel and his father are
members of a radical sect of catholicism that has many odd beliefs. In
short, I thought about reality and facts instead of emotion.

Now that I read your post, I think about how Jesus was born and raised
in the middle east and was not white by any stretch.
