Yep. it had a wooden luggage rack in the back instead of a seat. This made it 
the lightest Chevy and the favorite for the racing crowd as well as the 
traveling salesman.

Bill Clarks guess of 2 bbl, 4 bbl, 2x4 bbl, and Fuel Injection was closest 
and Scott Teilhaber's ridicule of your "fuel injection" guess takes the 
honors for best "foot-in-mouth" statement of the month. Actually there were 2 
FI and 2 2x4 bbl configurations for a total of 6 different 283's available to 
the public.
