Tell that to the Berne convention!
It may seem silly to you, for what seems like a "trivial" bit of
code, but actually that program is THE reference for file-handles, from
where I sit (rightly or wrongly, it is the One True Implementation), and
regardless, I want to be sure that you, me and the Berne convention, all
agree on what I can do with that code.
In this instance, I will be adding fh to OZPD. BTW, in the recent
file-handle saga, my wife (who works at Qantas) was using FH to do various
file-handle tests. BFN. Paul.
