How about trying to use the internet to do that?  There might be several 
ys:
[1] Set up a page that describes this Fido echo and how to contact a 
sysop/bbs.
[2] Create a mailing-list into this conference.
[3] Issue a WPERFECT newsletter that picks the more interesting messages that 
transpire here and put up the list to read on a web-page.
