Or I might have the intellectual horsepower to calculate what it would save
me in my phone bill if I did, and compare that with the price of even a yumcha
V34 modem, and notice that there are still lots of warts in the currently
buyable V34 modems, even USR ones, and that it might well make a HELL of a
lot more sense not to bother right now. But then I have always been into
that sort of rational analysis rather than keeping up with the jones stuff.

I can think of lots of more sensible places to spend that kind
of money right now, particularly if considering a Courier.
