Great Idea. I'd like to zip that suggestion into the telemate package on my 
BBS.
Now, having done this, I find the viewer insists on openning every time on 
line 150, which is the part of the index starting with "Log files" (I have 
perversely placed the index where it can be read at the top of the file) 
I did try editing the file from within Tmate, and the next time it oppenned 
around line 250, next time the whole file looked like garbled junk, which 
fortunately went away next time I started the program, at which time I was 
back to openning at line 150. Apparently leaving the help screen at the 
beginning before exiting does not help.
