I have an Intranetware 4.11 server at home. I have found that some
administration tasks cannot be done because the utilities that I need to call
need directory services but run under Windows. When they are run, Win-OS2 is
called and it runs on a DVM. The DVM changes to a bindery connection, leaving
me with no way to use the application.
If I do a WHOAMI from an OS/2 screen it tells me that I have an NDS
connection. Going to a DVM shows the connection as being bindery.
Affected apps are PCONSOLE, ARCSERVE, NWADMIN and anything else that needs a
DS connection.
Here is my AUTOEXEC.BAT. The culprit seems to be the call to NETX.EXE in the
third line.
@ECHO OFF
C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM\TBMI2.COM
C:\NETWARE\NETX.EXE
ECHO.
PROMPT $i$p$g
SET WIN3DIR=C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2
PATH=C:\OS2;C:\OS2\MDOS;C:\;C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2;
C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM;c:\bat;e:\tcpip\dos\bin;c:\dos;
LOADHIGH APPEND C:\OS2;C:\OS2\SYSTEM
SET TMP=C:\
DOSKEY EDIT=QBASIC/EDITOR $*
SET TEMP=C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\TEMP
SET ETC=e:\tcpip\dos\etc
c:\dos\brequest.exe
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Hmmm... one more thing. If I try to run TSAOS2.EXE and register with the
server, the help screen tells me that TSA_OS2.NLM and ".NLM" must be loaded
in the server. I am unable to find the first anywhere and the second does not
make sense.
I am running version 1.21 of the requester and arcserve 6.1 with SP1.
