I don't know how many people still use pure DOS and nothing else but I know
I could not do what I want or need to do with Windows on my PC (see
previous message) if my operating system stopped at Windows 95. In fact,
several of the programs I run won't run under Win95. I add that I gave up
on Windows 98SE several years ago because it crashed regularly (memory
burps).
Having said that, this echo is about DOS and the Internet. That seems
broad enough to cover your full-time use and my part time use.
