My Netcomm 28.8k would go for around 18-20 minutes before dropping carrier,
my Maestro 14.4 and X-Link 33.6 are both unaffected.
There are a couple of fixes for it. One involves cutting the capacitor
that maintains the memory, the other involves a chainsaw...
