As the moderator said, everyone is welcome to the Catholic Church. The
program to which he referred is the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
(RCIA). It was originally designed for non-Christians but usually also
is used to prepare Christians from other backgrounds for entering the
Catholic Church.

There are other ways of learning about the Church that can be used
get information by yourself before you become involved in a formal
program. The Catholic Home Study Service offers seven free
correspondence courses in basic Catholicism and in special aspects.
Go to http://www.amm.org/chss.htm and if you see a course that
interests you, enroll in it. You can enroll on the web site and, as
you will see, you can send your answers to the workbook questions
over the Internet or through the Post Office as you prefer. The
free textbook, workbook, and other materials are sent to you through
the post office.
