-> PS> Modern web browser DO keep the connection alive, at least if the -> PS> web server supports HTTP 1.1. It's more efficient than making a new -> PS> connection for each picture on the page or each new page from one -> PS> site. -> I could see it for a bunch of stuff that was all related to one page (all those -> images...), but beyond that? I suppose I'm going to have to look into the -> spec, one of these days. Somethoing must be kept alive becaue many web sites Automaticly Update on you. IF they dropped the connection how do they do that? --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
