What _are_ you talking about? Kerry, a "practicing catholic"? If
the man ever
received Communion since becoming a politician supporting abortion, he received
it under false pretences. Some "practicing catholic".

Take a look at the analysis that has been going on of how the vote turned out.
The Democratic party really _did_ lose a lot of support from sectors of society
that traditionally vote Democrat _because_ of Kerry's stances.
Now I don't mean to claim that he lost _all_ the traditional support for
Democrats among Catholics, but he really did lose a lot of it. And it was a loss
he could not afford.
