This was something like 15 years ago - Geo got fed up with dell's because
of their non-standard drivers and hasn't updated his knowledge on the
subject since . I've happily used windowsupdate on our 50 or so
dell's at work with no problem. I haven't seen dell supplied service packs
even mentioned anywhere.
