DD> I have a friend who grows cherry tomatoes in a container on her
DD> apartment balcony. She says they do very well, and she can extend the
DD> season into the early fall by bringing the container into the house.
I've found that some things do better for me in containers than
in the ground. I have a Better Bush tomato in a container right
now, hopefully will get some tomatoes from that while waiting for
my regular ground grown tomates to get going. I normally start my
own tomatoes, but saw the Better Bush at Walmart and it looked so
healthy I bought it. I kept it protected from wind and cold and
now its' over 2 feet tall and has one tomatoes set on it! Spring
arrives early here in Florida and I'm hoping to get my regular
tomatoes in the ground this weekend. I have the opposite problem
of most gardeners in this echo. I have to get things in the
ground early......by late June and early July the heat and
humidity will have done everything in. Then I listen to everyone
else's gardening stories and have my garden mostly tilled up.
