I am suspicious.

They invite you to add a link to your website linkimg to them. But who
tells me that is safe and does not lead to a malware site.

Yeah right. How does one test FidoNet software without a FidoNet setup?

I would treat this like any other spam and just dump it it the SPAM folder.
