-> TW> it was still CP/M Was running mostly Kaypro CP/M programs which -> TW> were compatable. As was the Osborne software. -> Most cp/m software was compatible, and patchable for specific terminal -> characteristics. I don't remember what the C128 used for such stuff, except -> that it was specific to that machine. Maybe you refer to the disk formats? I -> remember that the 1571 drives had code in the rom to read those, along with -> some others besides. Well Almost Compatable. As an Example none of the DEC Rainbow CP/M stuff would run on the Commodore128/KayPro/Osborne machines. All the big guys tweeked CP/M and made it somewhat pripority to their machines. That of course was so you would have to buy the software from them. Of course the Real Hackers(Before the Word was Perverted by Scum Bags) could make changes quite easily as I recall. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
