-> They used a really odd disk format as I recall, double-tracked or something, -> maybe 96tpi drives? I never saw any of those machines. Most of what I bumped -> into was Osborne stuff and a number of Kaypro machines... They were the Bright Spot in the declining days of CP/M. But KayPro's insistance to hanging on instead of going to DOS machines like every one else was his Downfall. Their Entry in the the DOS world as a disaster as a result of waiting far too long to jump in. Kinda the same with Commodore by the way.. And yes they did also use fully, Not to them I am sure, disk Fromatting schemes. But even if you ported the Software over to a format you could load form typicaly the Program would not Run becasue the CP/M OS was enough different that it didn't know what to do. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
