Hi Bill. When it comes to who should get the right away on the road, I
always keep in mind that the car driver may not be aware of my intensions
when riding my bike. I would also consider that they might not even know that
I am there. A 20lbs. bike is no match for a 2000lbs + car. As I was saying
about those fellows in the car that tried to scare you by speeding up when
approaching you, even though they may not want to hurt you the fact is that
there dangerous driving can cause injury by mistake. Some how that message
has to get to this type of driver let it be by reason or force. So ignoring
the event does no good to anyone.
As for my chain problem, I brought it to the shop and the mechanic told me he
did not think the slippage was due to my brake lever (the ratchet system),
but he could not undrstand how it could happen. So he did a few adjustment to
the front derailleur and now I must wait till the weather is better so I can
try it out. I can't complain About the service since the shop didn't charge
me.
