you are right, tolerances are proprtionate to power and access to percieved 
power. Paducah City PD got in pursuit of an armed robbery suspect and 
requested assistance and I was close so went. driver put my personally owned 
vehicle up on two wheels a la stunbt car and stopped inly after his tires 
were shredded and could go no further.My car was wrecked and you guessed it, 
it was son of the baptist preacher of the largest and oldest church in area. 
I wrote 21 traffic citations and charged with reckless endangerment.... got 
called into to see Sheriff who started with "I know I promised I would never 
ask anyone to.....but" I didn't and pressure after that was gone, but it is 
the way of the world, a favor here and a favor yhere. I didn't bend much.
