BL> something crazy in Blue Wave, it was always a bit that way JB> multimail is reportedly somewhat like blue wave, available for JB> dos and linux. Yair... I've even half-written my own version a few times. It's just inertia that leaves me with BlueWave. JB> if you've already got 4dos there on your dos system there's not JB> a whole lot to be gained with a linux command-line I loaded 4DOS and then dumped it because it didn't seem to offer anything. It's still on the drive, soemwhere... My evaluation technique is somewhat unique, and fraught, but I'm coming towards the end of it now. It seems to me that Linux is basically useless as an operating system to be used as a PC, but it makes a wonderful network, server, gateway, etc. Windows on the other hand sucks as a secure network, but makes a great PC. I want a PC with the accent on PERSONAL, that I can connect to the Internet, securely... which means a Windows PC networked to a Linux gateway box. At first I thought I'd change to Linux and dump Windows, but Linux sux. For me, Linux is not a practical PC and never will be. Apart form the brilliant Unixkernel and perhaps X (both written by *professional* engineers, btw), the rest is uniwanker shareware gone mad. Maybe if Novell does take over Suse... but just now Linux makes a PC nightmare. What remains, is for me to try an X server running under Windows, so that I can configure the Linux box remotely, because as sure as hell I am not going to use Linux as a PC. Have you ever tried WinAxe or Cygwin?
