Possibly, I really don't get into the nuts-n-bolts of our
regulated economy.

Logic tells me that in SONY's case (and others) the manuf
should at least be considered a co-conspirator when a fixed
price is the result. I see no reason to excuse SONY's behaviour
when it is obviously based on greed to disallow the effects of
the consumer in the marketplace.
