More signal bandwith used for color information. NTSC is more likely to
have flickering colors. The number of half-frames per second is also
different, but I don't remember the exact numbers. 

When digitizing video, NTSC usually ends up being 352x240 pixels and PAL
ends up being 352x264 pixels.
