Hello Jasen -

CA>> --8<--cut

RJT>>>> And I'm going to make this judgement before having
RJT>>>> loaded the page? This doesn't quite make sense.

CA>>>> They track how long you stay at the page as well as how
CA>>>> many people load the page.

RJT>>> How long you stay? I think not.

CA>> I know so, I've seen the stats.

RJT>>> There are a lot of people who seem to have a
RJT>>> misconception about this, once you load a web page,
RJT>>> there is no longer any connection between you and the
RJT>>> server, even though the perception is that "you're still
RJT>>> at that site" as the stuff is still on your screen. No
RJT>>> actual connection is maintained, until you do something
RJT>>> else.

CA>> This is not a misconception, it's not even a conception.
CA>> I've read the stats collected by the servers.

JB> Have you someething to tell us or are you just being
JB> deliberately oblique?

CA>> I don't think all web designers should have their hands
CA>> tied behind their backs to satisfy the "from time to time"
CA>> need to print a web page.

JB> more content-free claims. are you planning on taking up
JB> politics.

RJT>>> Oh. They still work here.

CA>> You need to review the meaning of deprecated.

JB> you need to review the meaning of

RJT>>> The graphic refers to the little "bullet" or other gizmo
RJT>>> that gets put at the start of the line in unordered
RJT>>> lists...

CA>> We were discussing the lack of circle and triangle tags
CA>> and you mentioned bullets? I don't see the comparison.
CA>> Bullet shapes are of no consequence.

JB> it was tag that'd draw a circle...

You seldom read an entire thread before making these off the
cuff comments. You remind me of a mosquito buzzing around
making noises.

My reference to 'circles' and 'arcs' was to smooth tables for
the display. The tag referred to by Roy would in no way
acomplish this.
