subject: Telemate for Windows Ver.

BS>MB> I am a registered user of Telemate Ver. 4.20 for dos.
BS>MB> I downloaded and tried out Telemate for Windows Ver. 1.0. I
BS>MB> was surprised and pleased to get it until I ran it.
BS>MB> I am not inclined to register it even though I am the most
BS>MB> devoted user of my dos version because:
I'm afraid I didn't get the original message, but the only real problems
I see are:
-The Inability to click to send a character.
-The way you toggle the dialing cue. There should be a way to toggle it
like you do in telemate 4.2 I.e. INS and Space. Maybe use the
Standard Ctrl-Click to add single entries, and shift-Click to add a
 range of entries?
-I wish there was a conversion program for the scripts!
Plus all the little unimportant things that we all learn to adapt to.
Of course, there are a lot of good things there too:
-Macro and button bars.
-File tag lists.
-Good Help System.
-Auto-Upload from multiple directories. (I *Love* this option!)
-Right-Click access to common commands!
-Plus all the little things you use and don't think about until you
try to use them in the dos version!
Of course, I use both. I use the windows version during long downloads,
etc. but I use the dos version for games, because I can't seem to fix
the choppy scrolling problem. (I still think It might be my problem
though, and not telemate's.)
