Sondra,
  Bet that little purple flower that you saw, pushing its way out between the 
crack of the sidewalk at the cemetary was a Crocus.......actually they are 
the first sign of springtime.  Now if only you could spot a Robin, and we'd 
be certain that another spring is well on it's way.  I can recall having seen 
Crocus with snow, and they end up doing very well.  The next flower is the 
Anemone, and they usually wait a little longer to pop their little heads 
above ground.
   We have had everything from 65 degrees to rain, and snow is forecast again 
for tonight.  Mother Nature is surely trying her best to accomadate us.
