Hi Ho Doug, I have an update to the Empress Lily! It seems that although the
breakfast moved to Chef Mickey's that now since the latter is being redone as
the new Rainforest restaurant, the breakfast will be moved back to the Lily.
In fact, this should have already happened, so check it out if you want to
eat a character breakfast on the Empress Lily. I've only been to WDW the
last three years, and now being DVC members we'll be going every year. I
really like the faster rides although to have it in the dark really dampens
them for me. Two which comes in mind are Space Mountain and Tower of Terror.
Both are supposedly exciting, fast rides, but both bomb out on me because
they are in the dark and because of that I don't experience anything. I have
to see where I'm going to get a thrill out of moving fast. I was on the
Terror three times in quick succession trying to get a whiff of something out
of it. It's a nicely decorated place, very visual otherwise, but the
elevator drop? I guess it must be me, sigh. Aside from the faster rides, I
do love the Disney atmosphere, and if it wasn't so expensive, I'd take my
time there and just walk around and smell the flowers! Well, maybe on my
100th trip there! :-) Splash Mountain was fun to do, and I did get a kick
out of Thunder Mountain Railroad (daylight!). Call me a kid, but I do like
Tom Sawyer's island too. :-)
