Hi Duncan,
As you're using danidasd.dmd, you should have a copy of danidasd.doc 
which includes:

    COMMAND LINE OPTIONS
         This driver supports all switches and options OS2DASD.DMD
    supports. For
         an explanation of these look into the OS/2 online help (by picking
         'OS/2 Commands by name'/ 'BASEDEV...'/'OS2DASD...') and the
    updates found
         in the fixpak documentation.

         For the sake of completeness, these are the OS2DASD options:

         /of : treat optical units like disk units (i.e. MO drives as
    additional
           removable disks)

         /lf : treat removable disks like large floppies (i.e. not
    partitioned).

         /mp : reserve a number partitions for removable media units
    (see OS2DASD
           docs for details).

danidasd144.zip is available on os2site.com in \software\drivers - or 
also on hobbes I guess.
