JP> OK, I'll admit to being a few clues short of functional on the JP>Internet, but... JP> How do I dl the DDK? JP> I've registered, and can get to the magic buttons. When I push one, JP>the buttons gray out, I get the timer, and nothing happens. JP>I've let it sit 40 minutes waiting on a 300K file, but no luck. JP> Am I just not patient enough? JP> Using Warp 3 (blue) with FP17 (though I'm not sure tcpip was JP>installed when the FP was applied), Web Explorer 1.1f. I used Explorer 1.1f to download quite a few meg of the DDK. Since you got through the registration then either the site was overloaded or your link was. You should have gotten a message box saying something about not viewer available for this file type, save as file or cancel, after the first packets. That is because it is an exe or zip file. Explorers dialogs should continue and let you pick a directory to put the file, the file name should already be in the dialog. After you answer, the download should continue. Give it a shot after hours, when the corporates with T1, T3 lines go home and are'nt saturating the path to the site. Any time after 6PM EST should be good. I have the same problem sometimes just using IBMLink across the internet in the daytime. IBM's network is huge and you never know what's up with it at certain times. The DDK site is probably some backwater location on the highway. --Lynn * SLMR 2.1a * .
