Hi Wanda!
WG³ You either?! But you're so creative!
Gee thanks! I don't think of myself as creative at all. I think I'm just
curious.
WG³ I ordered a book from Aleen's, called Trash to Treasure. It's very
WG³ good, but of course they'd like me to order more. The next book looks
WG³ great. It is about making angels out of household items...It's hard
WG³ to resist it, as I love angel things.
Thats the problem with Aileens, they can't stop selling us things.
WG³ I have a large seashell that I want to glue some fabric into, and put
WG³ sea shell soaps in for a gift.
I like this idea. Tell me about it in more detail.
WG³ No, I got it. I explain about how you do. We speak the same language!
And what language IS that? :-)
WG³ I haven't tried using material for Mod Podging.
It's really easy but done best on white or tan.
WG³ I haven't gotten into stenciling yet.
Egads! Stencilling is the easiest thing in the world. I started with
stenciling. The hardest part of stenciling is putting the tape on the
parts you don't want the color to over flow onto.
All you do in stenciling is go to the store and buy some inexpensive
stencils. Then you decide what your going to stencil. I suggest doing a
card, or picture, or poster first. That way if you mess up you can toss
it and it won't be a large monitary loss. The stencils you just was off and
reuse. If your into Rubber stamping you can use the cosmetic sponges or a
piece of a kitchen sponge and dab on the open spaces on the stencil using
your stamp ink. I just did a card for my son using a sail boat stencil. It
came out wonderful. I did the water with a water stamp and sponged in
the sky then added some glitter to the water.
You can also use the stencil crayons according to the directions (very
easy) and stencil brushes. The reason I don't like to do that is because
it is so much trouble to clean them. I haven't tried it, but I bet you
could even use the cosmetic sponges with the crayons. The most important
thing is to not get under the stencil. I've done that and then had
to add a bug or something appropriate to cover up the spot. Try it using a
cheap (cardboad if you want) stencil and card stock, and stamping ink. I'll
bet you will be surprised at how easy it is. I've never done a wall
because it is just to much work. Like I said the hardest part is all that
taping. I use regular tape they sell for stenciling. I've used their
sprays and adhesives and they always ruined the stencil as well as the
project. It is quicker than tape, but if you can't use the finished
project then what good is it?
WG³ I have tried this a little bit. I even have a styrofoam
cutter, that WG³ heats up and cuts through it like butter. Have to be
careful with that WG³ one!
I'm to clumsy for that. I'd loose my fingers for sure.
WG³ Thanks for all the ideas! You've been a great instigator. Uh, I mean
WG³ inspiration! :)
Hehehehehe.....I try!
By the way have you signed up for the card exchange? Please do! It is my
first one.
val.....
